IDCards.com sought to migrate from Volusion to BigCommerce to modernize their website, improve user interaction, and leverage the advanced features and customization options offered by BigCommerce. The primary objectives were to migrate data seamlessly from Volusion to BigCommerce, implement a comprehensive redesign and branding strategy, enhance user interaction with features like a Featured Product Scroller, Mega Navigation, and a Modified Shopping Cart, develop a custom product configurator to simplify the ordering process for custom ID cards, and improve the visual appeal and functionality of the website to increase customer engagement and conversion rates.
The redesign included several custom features such as a Featured Product Scroller, Mega Navigation, Custom BigCommerce Theme, Custom Branding, Custom Product Configurator, Modified Shopping Cart, and Responsive Design.
The custom product configurator simplified the complex process of ordering custom ID cards by allowing customers to easily select card type, color, magnetic stripe, barcode, security features, and more. This tool significantly decreased the time required to configure orders and enhanced the overall user experience, leading to higher conversion rates.
The new BigCommerce site for IDCards.com included integrations with Cloudflare CDN, Google Analytics, PayPal Processing, Shopper Approved, Google Ads, and Google Tag Manager.
MAKDigital utilized both Volusion and BigCommerce APIs to orchestrate a synchronization process, meticulously setting up and configuring all required data points.
