Founded in 1971 as Crouse-Kimzey Company, ProAudio.com is a Fort Worth, Texas based distributor and reseller for more than 400 professional audio, video, lighting and broadcast equipment lines. They are the supplier of choice for businesses large and small, individuals, churches, schools and contractors, in all 50 U.S. states and internationally. Due to an outdated design they deceided to embark on a jounrey to upgrade their BigCommerce site design with MAK Digital.

Concept

ProAudio approached MAKDigital looking to redesign their BigCommerce website theme and through additional BigCommerce development services add some additional functionality and features to their site. Owning a professional-looking website in the music production industry is essential for success. The online storefront is where potential customers, clients, and collaborators will come to learn more about their services. An unfinished or beginner appearing site has the possibility of turning visitors away, someone may think their personal info would not be safely shared or cared for. A professional website will allow Pro Audio to compete with their competition by providing a reliable and aesthetically pleasing site that accurately reflects the quality of their work.

The site should be easy to navigate and have clear calls to action, so visitors know what the next steps are if they wish to engage with Pro Audio. The redesign was focused around reconstructing the Home, Category and Product pages. Creating an optimized customer experience journey through the site from landing page to checkout. This consisted of injecting style and branding to each layout, helping remind customers who they are shopping with. Keeping a consistent style and branding throughout the theme will make the new site appear much more professional and ready to compete with big-box brands! The old version of the ProAudio website had a large number of ‘white-space’ areas on each page leaving the site with an un-finished appearance. The redesigned site now has a great ebb and flow to it allowing for easy browsing by any shoppers.
