Sonitek’s team communicated their vision clearly throughout the process, and our role was to bring that vision to life through the BigCommerce website redesign. The focus was on creating a much more modern, user-friendly site. The homepage features an abstract design with a banner that highlights each product line, from heat staking to ultrasonic welding and air presses. Below the banner, we added an educational breakdown of the product lines, as the previous site didn’t effectively educate users on the company’s offerings.
A unique element we introduced was a dedicated section on the homepage featuring Sonitek’s stock of educational videos. These videos, originally hosted on their YouTube channel, highlight their manufacturing processes and showcase their products in action. To further integrate this content, we implemented a gallery using POWR, allowing customers to easily view these videos directly on the homepage. This addition helped provide a deeper understanding of Sonitek’s products and expertise, making the site more engaging and informative.
The goal of the homepage was to make it visually appealing, informative, and engaging, encouraging users to stay, browse, and ultimately purchase products. To enhance the user experience, we integrated sticky cart and side cart features to the product templates. The sticky cart helps users easily access their shopping cart without leaving the page, reducing friction during the online shopping process and increasing conversions. These features set Sonitek apart from competitors who lack such functionality.
For the product pages, the goal was to create a checkout process with a simplified design to avoid overwhelming users. For large machinery, which requires more personalized attention, we created a custom product page template that prompts users to contact the sales team for inquiries. We also focused on BigCommerce site speed optimization, ensuring that the redesigned site loads quickly and provides a smooth browsing experience, critical for user retention and satisfaction.
As with all of our projects, we prioritized mobile optimization and ensured the design was fully responsive across all devices. Our designers worked diligently to ensure that the website design aligned with Sonitek’s branding and positioned them as a leader in their field.
