Budget Heating & Air Conditioning, faced multiple challenges when they approached us for assistance with their website. Their previous site, developed years ago, By MAKDigital, on the Volusion platform, had become outdated and no longer met the standards of a modern eCommerce user experience. As a leader in the HVAC industry, Budget Heating recognized the need for a redesign and migration to the BigCommerce platform to reflect their brand’s authority and prestige better.

The old website was not user-friendly and made navigation difficult for visitors. Key design elements were missing, such as prominently showcasing top brands—a critical factor in an industry driven by well-known names in heating and AC supplies. Additionally, the homepage lacked a clear representation of their wide range of product categories, resulting in missed opportunities to engage users and drive conversions.

Performance issues further compounded the problems, as some pages took as long as five seconds to load. This sluggish performance not only hurt website user engagement but also negatively impacted their conversion rate. Additionally, we enhanced the quick selector tool, placing it prominently in a bold orange box at the top of the navigation menu to ensure its visibility and usability.

To enhance the homepage, we introduced a Top-Selling Items section, allowing customers to quickly view the most in-demand products. A customer review section, powered by Shopper Approved, was added to showcase Budget Heating’s thousands of reviews, reinforcing trust and credibility. We modernized the footer design, replacing the outdated layout with a sleek, more functional structure.

On product pages, we integrated customer reviews, ensuring they are prominently displayed and easy to find. Additionally, we incorporated trust badges, including a “Serving You Since ‘92” paired with an emblem stating the year they were established, to highlight Budget Heating’s long-standing reputation. To improve customer support, we also added clear contact options, enabling shoppers to reach a sales representative via email or phone for product-related inquiries.

We integrated Sezzle and Affirm to give customers flexible payment options, making purchases more manageable. These financing solutions are strategically highlighted on the homepage, ensuring they stand out in a way that builds customer confidence and encourages conversions.
