Challenges Faced

NSPEC Innovations approached MAKDigital with interest in purchasing our austin theme template for BigCommerce. This BigCommerce theme is one of our top-performing, most in-demand themes specifically designed for firearm retailers, brands, and wholesalers. Prior to launching their standalone eCommerce store, NSPEC had built a strong presence and brand reputation selling on GunBroker.com, where they successfully grew their brand.

As their business continued to expand, NSPEC was ready to take the next step by building their own BigCommerce storefront to strengthen their brand, establish independence from third-party marketplaces, and create long-term ownership of their customer base within the arms and ammo eCommerce space.

Since this would be their first website outside of GunBroker, they were looking for a solution that was not only highly functional but also cost-effective. The first step in bringing NSPEC Innovations' vision to life was migrating their product catalog from their GunBroker store to BigCommerce. From there, our team customized the Austin theme to reflect their brand identity. We modified key design elements of the theme, including adjusting the color palette to a clean black-and-white scheme that complements their existing logo. In addition, we updated banners and imagery to give the storefront a professional, polished appearance. These customizations were provided as add-on services to the purchased template, delivering a tailored eCommerce solution while keeping costs efficient.
