BigCommerce Migration
Henworld, founded in 2017, is a company we at MAK have worked with on multiple occasions. We redesigned their eCommerce store on the Volusion platform in the past and have just migrated their store to the more robust BigCommerce platform. Henworld primarily sells accessories related to weddings and “hen parties” (similar to bachelorette parties), and hosts them in Ireland. Much like many of our other clients, Henworld believes that migrating to the more modern BigCommerce platform will greatly benefit their business in many ways.
Project Details
Before Henworld approached MAK Digital Design, they were running their eCommerce store on an outdated platform with an outdated design. They felt that they were being held back by their platform and weren’t able to implement many modern features that are considered standard on eCommerce stores today. What Henworld needed was an accommodating platform with more modern features they could utilize on their store, alongside a complete redesign.
Just like many of our previous clients, after reviewing their options, Henworld decided that BigCommerce would be the best platform to migrate their store to. BigCommerce gave them the ability to utilize features they were unable to previously on Volusion. Along with the improved framework offered by BigCommerce, their new web design also brings Henworld up to a modern standard.
One of the most important things an eCommerce store needs in 2021 is a responsive website design that accommodates users on any device. As you will see in the next section, ensuring that their new websites design was mobile-friendly and easy to navigate was our top priority.
Responsive Design
On their previous website, the mobile experience was rather lackluster. The layout didn’t have any real structure to it, and it was difficult for users to navigate. With their newly designed website, we followed all eCommerce best practices, and branded Henworld in a more modern and aesthetically appealing way. It is now far easier (and effortless) to navigate through the website and find exactly what you are looking for.
