Brooklyn Low Voltage Supply (BLVS) is a trusted distributor of low-voltage equipment, serving contractors, businesses, and wholesale buyers. Design and Functionality Overview

BLVS’s old WordPress site struggled to meet customer expectations. The platform was functional but lacked key details that customers relied on to make informed decisions. Product listings often had only a name, price, and low-quality images, leaving buyers unsure about their purchases. Customers also had to create an account just to see pricing, which discouraged new visitors and increased bounce rates. Without customer reviews, security badges, or testimonials, the site failed to establish trust—an essential factor in online sales.

To fix these issues, MAKDigital moved BLVS to a fully optimized BigCommerce platform designed for growth. The new product pages include detailed descriptions, high-resolution images, and technical specifications. Now, customers can compare products easily and feel confident in their choices. We also added a “Contact Our Sales Team” widget, allowing business clients to request bulk pricing and assistance with large orders.

A mega menu with image-supported dropdowns helps customers find products quickly, while a streamlined side navigation panel offers an alternative way to explore the catalog. These improvements simplify browsing and make the shopping experience smoother from start to finish.

Search engine optimization and performance enhancements played a huge role in this redesign. The previous site had limited content, making it hard to compete in search rankings. To solve this, we expanded product descriptions, optimized category pages, and implemented structured data for better search engine visibility. The BigCommerce blog also got a makeover, transforming it into a resource for industry insights that drive organic traffic and build credibility.
